What you will learn in this article:

How to manually add marketing spend

To manually import fixed marketing spend or configure a commission into Admetrics Data Studio, follow these steps:

  1. Create a copy of this document by going to “File” and selecting “Make a copy”. Name the document using your company name followed by “Admetrics Import” (e.g., “ACME - Admetrics Import”). Make sure to share it with the relevant team members.

  2. Go to the “Spend” sheet and input your data. Do not remove any columns, even if they are empty, to maintain campaign or ad_id granularity. Ensure the sheet name remains unchanged, and only the necessary rows are kept.

  3. Make sure the date column is formatted as DD/MM/YYYY, the currency column follows the ISO_4217 format (ISO 4217 Wikipedia), and the spend columns contain numeric values (accepted examples: ‘10’ or ‘112.3’, not ‘112,3’).

  4. Ensure that the green columns (date, utm_source, currency, and spend) always contain values. Missing values can cause issues with the import, or the row might be ignored. If you only want to configure a commission, enter “0” for the fixed marketing spend.

  5. Share the sheet with [email protected], if it hasn’t been shared already.

  6. In the Data Studio settings, add a new data source of the type “Google Sheet”. Copy the spreadsheet URL from your browser’s address bar and paste it into the “Sheet URL” field in Admetrics, ensuring it includes “/edit#gid=0” at the end.

  7. Wait for synchronization to complete.
